With Grace in her heart, and flowers in her hair

As you probably guessed, I’m Kylie- the founder and head designer of Kylie Hale Designs! As you probably wouldn’t expect, I was never a huge fan of flowers until recently. Sure, I found them pretty, but all I really knew were the generic blooms wrapped in plastic at the grocery store, and that never excited me. Always a creative, I was looking for a place in the event world where I could exercise that artistic side, and bam! I found flowers. I was introduced to more varieties than I ever knew existed, and what was once boring and cliche became the thing I now go to sleep and wake up thinking about.

With every wedding and event, my goal is to bring that same imaginative energy. To step out of the over-done, and to create something you and your guests will actually remember.

Some words I would use to describe my design aesthetic are…

Artful

Organic

Modern

Romantic

Moody

Whimsical

When designing for a client, my main goal is to find that place where my general style meets their ideal vision. My job is not to create for myself, but to interpret the colors, feeling, and personality my client is wanting to capture, and put that into their flowers. The greatest compliment I can receive is when those I am designing for say something along the lines of, “this is even better than I was picturing!” It’s your day, I’m just here to help make it everything you are hoping for (and then some)!

But there will come a time you’ll see, with no more tears. And love will not break your heart

but dismiss your fears. Get over your hill and see what you find there. With Grace in your heart and flowers in your hair.”

— Mumford and Sons, After the Storm

Flowers found me in one of the most difficult seasons of my life; and just like the flowers themselves, the rain from that storm allowed me to bloom. I am thankful to flowers. For the hope they represent, for how they reflect God’s beauty, and for how they are uniquely and wonderfully made, just like each of us. What a gift flowers are.
